LSS – the love i lost
Building my whole world around you
And I can remember hoping
That you and I could make it on through
But something went wrong
We loved each other
We just couldn’t get along
Take a good look at me
I’m in misery, can’t you see
The love I lost (the love, the love I lost)
Was a sweet love (it was a sweet love)
The love I lost (the love, the love I lost)
Was complete love (it was complete love)
The love I lost (the love I lost)
I will never (never) no no never
(Never) love again ooh
I can’t remember nothing, no no
But the good times we used to share
I’m so sad and lonely
Without you my life is so dead
I’m sorry to say
You go your way and I’ll go my way
It hurts deep inside
The day we said goodbye, but
(CHORUS:)
The love I lost (the love, the love I lost)
Was a sweet love (it was a sweet love)
The love I lost (the love, the love I lost)
Was complete love (it was complete love)
The love I lost ooh ooh
I will never (never) no no never
(Never) love again (I’ll never love again)
I will never (never) no no never
(Never) love again ooh ooh ooh ooh
I will never (never) no no never
(Never) love again
The love, the love I lost, ooh
The love, the love I lost
(CHORUS)
Prayer for Protection
Father, we thank You that despite the horrendous situation a lot of people had to go through because of Ondoy’s rage, You have touched our hearts to be there for each other… to help each other despite of social differences. We thank You that at times like this, the bayanihan value prevailed, thus, we are looking forward for a speedy recovery.
Father, We all know that it only takes faith as small as a mustard seed to move mountains. Because of this, we are all praying for Your great intercession in sparing the country from another devastation. We are praying for Your protection and loving kindness in placing us under Your mighty care like the way a hen protects her chicks from any danger.
Father, we are claiming Your promise in Psalm 91… that we shall not fear because You are our refuge and mighty fortress… that You are our shield and buckler. We are claiming Your promise of sending Your angels to take charge over us and protect us in all ways.
A few hours from now, Typhoon Pepeng will have its presence felt. We are now placing our full trust to You, Father, because we all know that no father wants His children be harmed. We are keeping our peace because You know what’s best for us. We are now taking comfort just remembering Your promises.
Amen.
Psalm 91
1He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
5Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
6Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
7A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
8Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
9Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
10There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
11For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
12They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
13Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
14Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
15He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
16With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
Praying for Those Affected by Typhoon Ondoy
I, together with my 3 friends who were with me last Saturday stranded in Makati, am offering this space and some prayers to those who were affected by typhoon Ondoy and to those who were concerned of our safety and well-being.
We were grateful to those who were constantly checking on us as to how we were during that time in a place we scarcely go to.
We are truly grateful to the taxi driver who did his best to bring us to the airport. As we saw how it was in c5 and EDSA, we asked him to drop us off in Makati, near Glorietta, knowing that there are fastfood chains around the area which are open 24 hours. We all hope he was safe and that his family was not badly affected.
We are thankful to our families who were more helpless than us knowing that they can’t do anything about our dilemma. To our Manila friends, who did their best in updating us about the situation and finding some place for us to stay for the night, and to our Bacolod friends, who kept on sending us sms to uplift our already weary spirits and tired bodies.
Since we’re home safe, we are now finding some ways to help those who were badly affected. If only Manila is reachable by land, we are really ready to volunteer to help. The best thing the 4 of us can do now is just donate and pray… and of course, wish that whoever points a finger to anyone to blame for this situation, be it the government or the people, will have his or her fingers cut off! Seriously, this is not the time to blame anyone. This is the time to unite and help each other!
Let’s all pray that this will not happen ever again.
