let’s do the papaya!

our country is a developing country. it is a country that strives to become better and healthier in all aspects. though we are known to be poor, there’s one thing we have that other super rich and powerful countries don’t have. we are happy people. even in our darkest moments, we really find ways to enlighten and comfort ourselves in such unique ways. we love humor. we sing. we laugh…. and we really, really love to dance.
if it’s not boxing (by manny pacquiao) that unites us, it’ll be songs or dances…
recently, the song papaya by Urszula Dudziak, a Polish artist, has been popularized by my ever favorite entertainer, Mr. Edu Manzano, with his dance movesss. and guess what? it has different versions too. the heavens must have heard him say that the papaya dance (which i always mistakenly call the BANANA dance. stupid me!) will invade america. it sure did because we found out that the hosts of good morning america danced it too. LOL!
Version # 1: Edu Manzano
and Edu again with Streetboys (a dance group)
Version # 2: Ronald McDonald’s version. LOL! this is so cute!
Version #3: even the American ambassador kristie kenney had her share. this is with edu manzano too.
Version #4: philippine army (see? our armed forces don’t need enterainers to entertain them. they entertain us!) you will really love this one.
Version#5: Urszula Dudziak, the original artist of Papaya who gladly and gamely gave her own share of the craze. it is preceded by an interview. you will really love her version too.
Version #6: good morning america! it has indeed invaded america.
iba pa rin ang pinoy! ang sarap maging pinoy! ![]()
